The Department of Veterinary Science offers continuing education credits for veterinarians through attendance of seminars and other professional presentations by visiting scholars. Forthcoming seminars and presentations both eligible and non-eligible for education credit can be found on the events calendar.

Department of Veterinary Science Seminars 

These seminars are held each Thursday at 4 p.m. in the auditorium (room 110) of the Gluck Equine Research Center during the academic year (except the last Thursday). These seminars feature scientific research talks from experts studying all species.

UK Department of Veterinary Science Equine Diagnostic and Research Seminar Series 

These seminars were traditionally held the last Thursday in January, February, June, July, August, September and October and also the third Thursday in November. This series is usually at 4 p.m. in the UK Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory auditorium, 1490 Bull Lea Road, Lexington, KY. These seminars focus on equine research. 

In 2019, the goal is to offer 15 hours of continuing education credit via three days throughout the year.
