2021 Rotavirus Workshop
About this Workshop
Generously hosted by Keeneland this workshop will overview equine Rotavirus in foals and the work performed by the University of Kentucky's Gluck Equine Research Center and Veterinary Diagnostic Lab during the Spring of 2021. The majority of the workshop will be focused on the discovery of the new Rotavirus B variant found in foals with neonatal diarrhea, infection control and prevention strategies, as well as discussion on Rotavirus A. Presentations givens by researchers, veterinary clinicians and farm managers will be 15 mins each for a fast moving interactive workshop.
The workshop was held in-person and streamed live for virtual attendance via Zoom Webinar. Recordings of talks are hosted on this page. Due to some technical issues occurring with zoom on the event day, some talks are currently unavilable for viewing.
The material presented is funded by the University of Kentucky's CAFE Gluck Equine Research Center Koller Emergency Response Funds and gifts from the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association/Kentucky Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders, Coolmore America and Grayson Jockey Club.
CE credit has been applied for from KBVE for Kentucky licensees. Should this be granted you MUST BE A REGISTERED ATTENDEE (either in person or by webinar) to receive CE credit. Recorded seminars DO NOT QUALIFY FOR CE CREDITS.
